Eureka Factory is an after-school program with opportunities to explore many subject areas in depth. Options include science, theatre, art, music, world cultures, and service clubs. Eureka Factory has been designed to have something fun and interesting for students of different ages each day of the week after school. Above all, participants will be actively exploring, experimenting, and discovering through hands-on involvement in every session!

Are you a natural explorer? Do you love to make connections and discoveries? Eureka Factory is a place where you and friends can be guided along an exciting adventure of discovery! You can create reactions in Junior Science Chemistry, explore continental curiosities in The World Ambassadors’ Club, or be a star with Saint Brigid Hams from Flying Pig. Or you can create your own connections in Tendercare Pals or TIFS, and be amazed by science in Inquiring Minds Project. Get creative with music in Music on the Go! In ExploraVision, you can create the future and in “Art is for Everyone”, create the vision in your mind. The possibilities are endless! |

WORLD AMBASSADORS CLUB
grades 2-5 Thursdays, 3:00-5:00pm, October 7 - November 18 Pack your bags for a trip where you don't need a passport nor luggage, not even a toothbrush, but 'Oh the places you'll go!' On this first journey, you and your fellow travelers visit countries in South America, discover what life is like there by participating in games, festivals, dances, stories and of course food! You will want to send everyone you know an 'I Wish You Were Here' postcard. TOGETHER IN FAITH AND SERVICE grades 6-8 Fridays, 3:00-5:00pm, October 8 - November 19 In this club, we will explore the talents God gave us and discover creative ways to use them to help others -- making friends all along the way. TENDERCARE PALS grades K-5 Thursdays, 2:30-4:00pm, October 7 - November 18 This year, the club will make friends with the residents from Tendercare and Riverside Place with an exchange of gifts, stories and games. JUNIOR SCIENCE: CHEMISTRY grades 4-6 Session A: Mon & Wed, 2:30-4:00pm, October 4 - November 17 Session B: Mon & Wed, 4:15-5:45pm, October 4 - November 17 Chemistry isn't just a science, it’s an adventure. You will observe the changes in matter as you experiment with chromatography, polymers, acid base reactions, environmental chemistry and more. In Junior Science: Chemistry, you'll explore baking soda and vinegar reactions, solving an ink pen mystery, and experiment with dry ice and liquid nitrogen. ART IS FOR EVERYONE grades 2-5 Tuesdays, 4:15-5:45pm, October 5 - November 16 Explore art through time and place around the world through fun art projects. Discover how to relate art to your own life. Explore why artwork is made and why it’s important. Make paintings like the cavemen, a pillow as folk artists do, a poster like pop culture. Investigate what effect your life and times have on YOUR art. And create an art exhibition of your creations! EXPLORAVISION grades 4-8 Mondays, 3:00-5:00pm, October 4 - November 15 ExploraVision encourages kids to create and explore a vision of future technology by combining their imaginations with the tools of science. All inventions and innovations result from creative thinking and problem solving. That's what ExploraVision is all about. Teams of students will be challenged to predict how technology will transform 20 years into the future! What will you imagine? MUSIC ON THE GO grades K-3 Mondays, 2:30-4:00pm, October 4 - November 15 Children's creativity is key in this dynamic music class from the Children's School of Music. Music on the Go will emphasize ear training, solfege singing, note reading, writing, pitch and rhythm awareness through active experiences such as playing instruments, movement, and and of course, playing lots of piano! Creativity is welcome! SAINT BRIGID HAMS grades 2-5 Tue & Thu, 2:30-4:00pm, October 5 - November 18 Learn to understand the story and its characters, stage movement and use of voice doing improvisations and Learn to understand the story and its characters, stage movement and use of voice doing improvisations and pantomime. Then learn how to set the story on stage and have a hand in it all: plan and build sets and properties, design make-up and costumes and decide which sounds and lights will bring it all alive! INQUIRING MINDS PROJECT grades 2-4 Fridays, 2:30-4:00pm, October 8 - November 19 This project is all about experiments! You will conduct experiments, consider your results and design further experiments. We will focus on anawareness of the world around us by investigating neuroscience, optics and how our senses mislead us, plant science, simple machines, chemistry, and perhaps some electronics. Our goal will be to discover that "science is fun!!” Saint Brigid School Choir Students in grades 5-8 will have an opportunity to be a part of a school choir. Practice for the school choir will take place on Tuesdays from 2:30-4:00. This choir will be under the direction of Mr. Steve Schweinsberg, Liturgical Minister for Saint Brigid Parish. | Download the registration form below:
